Question about diet post-fill
Hi, I've been curious about this for awhile now and I wanted to ask others what there surgeons require. I know all doctors have different protocol pre-surgery (mine for example was 2 weeks of liquids) and post (1 weeek liquid, 1 week pureed). However, do you have a requirement after a fill? I am supposed to do 2 days of liquids and 2 days of pureed and I followed this to the tee for the first 4 mos but now, its very, very hard to do the lisuid diet and I usually do puree by day 2.
Can others please share their post-fil requirements?

That would indeed be challenging.
I would wonder at the reasoning behind two weeks of liquids. My doctor wants us back on solids as soon as reasonably possible as his thinking is that the band works best with solid dense protein.
Perhaps your doctor gives very large fills?
Good luck to you when you do have your fill.

Mine is pretty liberal ----- liquids/soft food for the rest of the day afer the full --- then soft/normal food as tolerated.
I usually had my fills in the early afternoon -- so I ate a normal breakfast and lunch.
Then, I usually had some chicken tortillia soup for dinner -- eaitng mostly soup and veggies --- and then the next day, I ate the rest of the soup with the chicken (very tender) for lunch.
I have always been able to eat after a fill -- using this protocol.
I am not one who 'feels a fill kick in' afte a few weeks.
I went home after every fill 'assuming' that my band was tighter - and that I had better restriction -- so I did not test it.,
I went back to taking small, thoughtful bites and measuring small amounts of food -- and then waiting before I ate again.
I believe people who say that their fills kick in after time, but I don't understand it from a physicological or person standpoint since it is not my experience.
