Lil' Update

I just wanted to pop by to give you all an update. You've watched me struggle and fight for every damn lb lost the last 3 years. I'm holding strong thanks to a lot of support from you. THANKS. I am healthier, more educated and more confident than ever.

Currently I'm involved with a weight loss management trial group of patients through my hospital. It's working for me. I'm down 4 lbs in the last 2 weeks. YEAH!! Every week I meet with the nurse practitioner to discuss my food choices for the week. We discuss the next weeks plan, where my problem spots lay in the daily routine and lots of mental sabotage moments that I encounter between work, school and home.

The nurse was really excited to hear my latest update and I'm here to share it with you too. I'm expecting! After announcing this at my appt, we discussed trying not to lose anymore weight though. Just a focus on getting super nutritious foods in and trying to grow a healthy babe.

I'm going to continue with my program and the LPN is more excited than ever that I'm in her program. She's worked for the last 10 years with prenatal patients and but she's never had a lap band prenatal. Oh goody- I think I just became somebodies pet project LMAO!!!!

So still losing a few lbs, about 6 weeks pregnant and feeling pretty good! The lapband doc said as long as i'm not heaving, to ride my fill level as long as possible. I'm at 8.25 cc I think. I have a 14 cc band. And I'm going to be a momma! WOW

Thanks Kath! We are just so excited and yet we don't even know where to start. I have so many questions and concerns. And my body is already going through some big changes. Wow! I'm approx 6 weeks although we aren't sure. I know I should know, but what can I say? Oh well!

Congrats, Tiff. I can feel the excitement flowing through your words. Looks like everything is looking up. Keep us posted as you progress through your pregnancy. Got a due date yet?

Sept 26th but that's just a guestimation because I don't know my exact last lmp. We'll find out in a couple of weeks. Feb 20 is my ultrasound.

Oh, Tiff, Congratulations!! I know you've been wanting this and here it is!

I'm glad you checked back in and are doing wonderful and wonderful things are going on in your life. Your new program sounds great and I'm glad you found a great place that is helping and that you can be nurses "pet"! Keep us posted!
