Here’s a link to the long-awaited video in which a very small and very stern Jean talks about the article she wrote about the link between obesity & fibromyalgia. For some reason, the guy who shot the video didn’t cut out the last bit in which I stomp away from the camera. I think the video is hilarious because I betray not even one atom of a sense of humor in it, but it does accurately portray how I feel about obesity and fibromyalgia.

I think Katie Couric can stop worrying about losing her job to me!

Great job Jean! Only other fibro sufferers can possibly understand how difficult a life it is!

I found this video very informative, Jean. And I know people both heavy and never-been-heavy that have been diagnosed with fibromyalgia.

Great post, Jean. I feel privileged to be able to pick your brain daily if I needed to. I am fortunate that I am not afflicted with this disease but I can empathize with chronic pain. BTW, you have a wonderful speaking voice....but yes, you coulda put a smile in it.

Thanks, Jolena. I think one reason I was being so serious is that every time I goofed, I laughed, so I finally had to clamp down on my funny bone in order to get the video done!

Katie Couric may not have to worry, but you are a terrific person to have on our side. Fibromyalgia is a difficult thing to live with. Keep up the good work!I was not obese until after my fibro diagnosis. Which come first ...the chicken or the egg ?

After researching and writing that article, I concluded that there's no cause-effect relationship between the two. I think that obesity and fibro are both triggered by the same factors. But the media sure loves to blame fibro on obesity.
