I don't normally post on here, but use to come here for ideas and help just by reading people's post and replies.... I don't get on here much anymore, Just reading some of the things is aweful!! If someone says something another doesn't like, people can be down right *****es and very rude. Normal the only thing I will read is if I see a post by Bette B., see voices her opinion, but in a tastful way! I'm sure I will be bashed for this,but it will be from the normal basher's that does it to everyone because the don't agree with others opinions!

Why do you care if people are "aweful" (sic) or "down right (sic) *****es and very rude?"  Do you not have a BLOCK button that you can utilize? It's there for your enjoyment so you don't need to start a new thread about how much you don't like to see "basher's" (sic.) 

Calling people "*****es" is against TOS, according to Obesity Help. You might want to change that.

OOPS, I didn't mean to spell that out! I just read some really good post from others and it seems someone has to be rude and bash people all the time. You can disagree with people and still be nice about it.

Well, it's all a matter of perspective, I think. Personally, I'd rather have the truth, even if it isn't written exactly in the manner that I think is "nice."  And I figure that everyone's got something to say... I can either take it or leave it... no big whoop, right?   I wish I could use the BLOCK button in "real life" a lot of times.     It's here, though, so if things really do bother you, use it and customize your reading experience. Of course, you run the risk of not seeing some important stuff then, too. It's just a matter of whatcha wanna see and whatcha don't.

Excuse me? Calling ppl on here "*****es" is being "nice"???

Thanks, I has read something the other day that has just been on my mind. I get on a soapbox and usually will just say before I think. lol

 There will be people whose posts you find useful and those whose are not so much. If there is anyone who consistently irks you, just block them. No one is ever going to like everyone. Heck, a lot of people get down on NM and Maria F, but I've always been able to "agree to disagree" with them, and I see a lot of value in what they have experienced and what they have to say.

That's not to say that there aren't people I find a complete and total waste of bandwidth. I have blocked them and don't have to be exposed to their insults and disrespect.

A little judgmental are we? Lol.

Now lets think about this.............you start a new thread to come on here starting drama and criticize some of us and call us *****es and then you go on to mention the "normal basher's". And you don't think YOU'RE bashing??? Really?!?!?!

Everyone speaks from their own point of view. For some, the LapBand was invented by Satan for the torture of the heavyfolk. For some, it is the lifesaver thrown in to save a drowning victim of obesity. For some, it is a hit and miss situation, where somedays their band is great, and others it is a PITA. It is just like everything else you read, take what you can use and move on.
Yes, when I first came here, I "yelled" at someone who I felt was being overly negative and dramatic, but in her case, the lap band IS hell. Just because they had an experience that was differnt than mine doesn't make it a right or a wrong, it's theirs.
Bashing the bashers makes you a basher. Let's not do that, and instead, respect everyones right to have their own experiences.

 Can't we all just agree to disagree? Why is that so difficult? I get along as well Bette and Kate who love their bands as I do with Maria, NM and Pumpkin who hate theirs. Why does it have to be a matter of picking sides, we miss so much good information when we do that. I haven't blocked any one and even tho I vehemently disagree with the Naomis of the world I still defend their right to post even if I don't agree. We are all adults aren't we, these kinds of posts are just not productive for anyone.
