Revising to another procedure . . .

For every little bump in the road, NO!  BUT for damage to your esophagus and decreased motility, YES!  Regain is not an option for some, because regain would mean massive amounts of weight and more damage to a body already once SMO.

I think people need to examine what they are doing right or wrong if the band is working and there are no complications.  For me a complication is Reflux or Severe Vomiting or Nerve damage .... etc.  A complication isn't "I'm not losing anymore" -- that is not a reason to revise.

    
    
Lost 271lbs with my LapBand in 22 months!  My Band malfunctioned and I gained almost 42lbs and then revised to the Sleeve 9/24/12!  I lost another 140 lbs with my Sleeve!  Loved the LapBand and Lovin' The Sleeve!

Totally agree that revisions are the answer to SERIOUS complications, which is NOT what I was referring to as "bumps in the road." When someone feels stuck, for example, they don't need a revision. They need to be cognizant of chewing.
