Revising to another procedure . . .
Hey Jules,
I saw Dr. E and spoke a lot with Dr. C. They were concerned about my lapbanding experience, but my insurance doesn't cover any more WLS since I already had the band. They don't accept self pay patients. They really tried to help me, but it was kind of a dead end.
Then, Dr. Keshishian in CA was going to help me revise. I was saving money and trying to make that work. My stomach hurts a LOT lately, though. So, as a matter of trying to determine if I could even possibly consider going to CA to revise, I went to my gastroenterologist to do pre-testing.
I have so much damage to my guts, it's ridiculous. I have bleeding ulcers, hiatal hernia, gastritis, diverticulitis... and the doc was having a really hard time doing a colonoscopy due to the number of adhesions that I have from multiple surgeries. I woke up several times during the procedure because the scope couldn't move through freely.
And I went through so much pain with the damn lapband that I'd rather remain fat!
Dr. E was a really super nice guy. Actually, all 3 of the docs I met were good.

Bette, so true. It may be for some but I am starting ( starting??) to get to very irritated by blanket generalisations.

Highest 290, Banded - 248 Lowest 139 (too thin!). Comfort zone 155-165.
Happily banded since May 2006. Regain of 28lbs 2013-14. ALL GONE!
But some has returned! Up to 175, argh! Off we go again,
It can be bad here sometimes. I hate hearing how "every band fails and how everyone eventually will fail and have problems." I am also a member on LapBandTalk and there are so many happy, healthy and successful banders there. Sure, there are some with difficulties, but you don't hear the negative rhetoric daily like you do here. Honestly, IF I only knew Banders from here, I would not want a Lap Band either. Thankfully, I was a member on LBT and OH before I got my band and I was able to see people in my support group who were successful, healthy and happy.
12/09 and 6/11, 9 skin removal procedures with Dr. Sauceda in Monterrey Mexico
