Has anyone here had a revision to LAPBAND?

Hi Everyone-
I had the gastric bypass several years ago, and as a result of complications, am VERY hesitant to have that type of invasive surgery again. I understand that it is possible to revise to a LAP Band, and was wondering if anyone has had that procedure?
Thanks for the help in advance
Amanda

There have been a few people who have had B.O.B. (band over bypass). They help.
Don't forget to exhaust your options. Revising to a DS is also an option with the right surgeon. I don't know how much more weight you want to lose but if the amount is significant, you may want to look into that route.
Best of luck!

While Band over Bypass is a possibility, I haven't heard real good things about it. If you are on Facebook, I can refer you to a very nice lady who had it.
I'm in the process of revising FROM a LapBand to anything my insurance will approve at this point. I prefer the sleeve but RnY is acceptable. (I can't get a surgeon to buy off on DS at this point; I haven't had a huge regain but I haz band issues and can't tolerate any fill. I suspect I'm full of scar tissue.)
I'm trying to point out that the band is not as non-invasive as you might think. It has its own share of problems. If I had it to do again, I would have gone with RnY.

thank you...i do have FB..I know it is not totally non invasive, but it is not nearly as invasive as the DS, and I don't know if I want to have RNY a 2nd time...I like that the band you can keep filling for restriction, but if the pouch stretches you can't do anything...I'm honestly just desperate to do something at this point...and my insurance won't cover anything
