Hi, I have been bandedfor about 8 mos and I recently had my 3rd fill. I have lost about 65 pounds so far and I didn't feel alot of restriction. I never had any problems with any food unless I did not chew or if it was tough meat. Now I am trying to get back to solid foods and I can't manage to eat anything denser than oatmeal. I called my surgeons office it has been 6 days since my fill and I was told to try going back to liquids for a day, mushy food, for a couple days and slowly go back to regular food and that I could still be a little swollen from the fill. Anyone else experiance this? Any suggestions it stinks feeling stuck all the time from small amounts of well chewed food.
Thanks Amy

I did have this happen. Alot of the vets came on and suggested I was too tight. That was what I believed also. I was going to a new doctor(my surgeon moved) who did not want to do an unfil. He checked under fluro and said I was not too tight. I did finally get to where I could eat solids. I lost some weight and now I am back in a stall and wondering if I should get a fill or if I am just not working it enough. Good Luck! Its a tough road! Keep me posted on how you do.

Thank you for responding,  am just going to take it VERY easy for next few days, I have a protein smoothie that I can live on for awhile not to mention my greek yogurt and oatmeal. I also think hydration is such a key factor in tightness and I can say the last couple of days I have been so pre-occupied with food that I haven't been drinking. So back to the drawing board, liquids with plenty of H2O!!!! I have an appt. on Feb 14th unless I have real problems so I guess in the least I will drop a couple of pounds but I don't want to stay this tight if it does not get better, it's kind of like torture, but maybe it will help me to get back on track. I will keep you all posted, going to wait until Sunday before I try solids again.
