Save it or throw it out?

Say you are eating lunch, for example, 3oz of chunk light tuna with 1oz of lowfat cheddar cheese on top ;) and despite eating really slowly and chewing thoroughly, you just find yourself full before the food is gone.  You don't want to eat the rest of it now because you're full, that would be bad.  But if you save it for a couple of hours you might fini****

Do you save it and eat it when you feel hungry again or do you just throw it out and move on with the next planned meal or snack?

I have this issue a lot and generally save my food and continue to eat it when I want to a while later. AS LONG AS it's a controlled portion that I've allotted for myself and fits into what I should be eating that day. I don't do this with a bag of chips, for example, and am not endorsing starting with way more food than you should be able to eat and then slowly eating it all day long. Hopefully you can see the difference between these scenarios.

I save it. I hate wasting food! Unless it's something like a weigh****chers frozen meal, because I am not likely to have a container I can put it in.

I say it depends. 1. if you aren't really liking what you are eating then why torture yourself again? 2. practicality of keeping the food

depends on what it is.
Most leftoversdon't work for me.
I either ditch it or wrap it for a family member

If its something that can be salvaged as another meal or a snack I save it.  Somethings I eat are not good warmed up so it gets thrown away

With my DS still living at home for now,  I don't have that problem!   Seriously though, it depends on the food.   A couple ounces of tuna wouldn't bother me to toss since it would just take up space in the fridge and then I would have to throw it out at a later date anyway.

I work in a male dominated profession so it's no problem getting rid of leftovers there either. Anything left unspoken for in the employee break area is usually scarfed up pretty quickly.

When I save it, I usually wind up eating it before I should and that leads to grazing. I am very guilty of this. I think it is better to throw it out. I am dealing with that demon all the time.

I save it if it will help me meet my daily nutrition needs.

At work, 12 hour shift, I save it for a snack. At home, give it to the dog, who is politely by my side in case this should happen.
