I am about 7 weeks post op from my gastric banding...Last night was the first time that I got something stuck and thought that I was going to die!  That was horrible!  Anyone have any suggestions for preparing chicken to avoid it getting stuck!

Chicken is very difficult. Try eating dark meat it is moister. Make sure you cut is small like the size of a dime and chew chew chew.

The crock pot makes pretty moist chicken and is very easy

Throw a few breasts and a can of fat free chicken broth, maybe some garlic and salt in the crock pot in the AM on low.

Dinner is served 8 hours later!

I am a dark meat chicken person (the white meat just makes me feel way to full after 1-2 bites).  I also cook mine in the crock pot.

I tried this recipe on Monday and the meat was so tender it was falling off the bone.  I actually replace the legs with thighs and you can add other veggies too. I really don't eat the potatoes much but the chicken was really tender.

I was not a dark meat fan prior to banding, but I now love boneless, skinless thighs.  I buy them in bulk at Costco and use them in most of my chicken recipes (just made chicken masala with them tonight ..yummy) they are very band freindly for me

Throw some chicken in the crock pot with cream of chicken or cream of mushroom soup (don't add any water!). Will be extremely tender and you'll LOVE it!
