ok, thus far have not had any restriction on what I can eat as far as food types....but...lunch I eating some leaftove steak, probably not the small bites I should. Horrendous pain!  Comes in waves, can't drink, spitting up thick saliva looking stuff... Am I going through a stuck episode?

YUP! Try taking a sip of something hot.. as hot as you can handle. Do you have any papaya enzymes?

And then stick to liquids the rest of the day. And try mushy tomorrow. your stomach can be swollen after the stuck episode so you need to give it time to rest after. :)

Yeah... I agree horrible pain.

I have a hard time with fresh just cooked juicy steak even in tiny bites so I would imagine reheated steak would give any band a run for its money. I would refrain from leftover steak if I were you. If you had to have the leftovers then try moistening it a bit with some salsa or broth or something like that. Once it starts to dry out its gunna be a challenge.

Hope your feeling better already. :)

Much better...took about 15 minutes, after the slime came up I felt better. Drinking liquids ok, thanks so much for the advice!

Yep, that's what many call being stuck.  I call it "an episode"-- OMG it hurts!  It happened to me after I ate a chicken wing.  Eventually it came back up....hang in there
