I don't drink with my meals. Sometimes when I am out I will take a sip or two of water but I think it is because the food is saltier when eating out.

I had this conversation today with a RnY person at work.  She said the main reason that her doc told her not to drink was because it stretched out the pouch.  I always thought it was more of the "wash down the food" premise.

I do not drink with meals.  Like others I drink up to the meal.  Afterwards I am not diligent about the 30 or 45 minute rules, but I also don't guzzle.  If I drink i sip.  I don't drink any carbonated beverages.  Honestly I quit drinking those back in 2005.

I think it's like Kate said, we all find what works for us.

I didn'****ch the video.

Haven't and couldn't even if I wanted to. I hate not being able to drink for an hour after. Sometimes I can't even have soup if it has anything solid in it, cause it will cause burping or sliming. Won't even try that one.
