struggling
I am having a tough time. I haven't lost any weight in 6 weeks. I find myself craving and eating sweets. I just don't know what to eat. I starve myself all day and then come home and eat all the wrong things. I am tired of thinking about food and weighing myself. I haven't been able to excercise as I have a herniated disc and am in constant pain. I want to get moving but walking is painful even sitting can get painful. I don't know what to do.

So, your answers are in your post.
You have to feed yourself througout the day --- and if you cannot eat small quantities of normal food, your band might be too tight.
If you are not eating for other reasons, you need to analyze that -- and put yourself on a 'feeding schedule' ---- plan to have breakfast, lunch a snack and dinner.
Protein first - and get rid of the sweets - you will always be able to eat sweets, and most of us cannot control our portions on those foods -- especially if we have not eaten all day.
If you didn't get a food plan from your surgeon/nutritionist, then ask for one --or buy Jean McMillan's book "Band Rules' -- and read up.

Maria,
I'm glad you found my other post. Yes I did have restriction for a while. I do know that after 1 fill I had I went back the next time and the "fill" was gone. It wasn't in the band. I had tests and they saw no problems with it. They didn't see any holes, ect. I had a fill again that day (after finding things were ok) but it ended up being too much. I lost 15 pounds in 4 or 5 days, was weak, wobbly, and my legs felt like mush. I ended up in the hospital for 2 days trying to get fluids back in me along with the vitain or protein that I was missing (that's what made my legs wobbly).

I for one could never get restriction. My band was always too loose, or too tight. I did lose 5 pounds in 5 days once when it was too tight and I was vomiting. I called it the Lap-Band throw up diet, lol. I was lucky though. Didn't have to be hospitalized like u.
I don't mean to be rude, but u haven't done well with the band. It doesn't work for a lot of us. Have you thought about revising to a differen't WLS?

As others say, you are making life hard for yourself.
My own philosophy is never to get hungry. Hunger makes me obsess about food. So I think sbout it all the time, so I get miserable and then I eat!
Space meals out, intersperse them with healthy snacks.
Do you need a fill?
