New Year's Resolution/Goal: Live, Laugh, Love
Ah, you are still young, just ask my gramdma (she just turned 92 and thinks anyone under 80 is a spring chicken LOL). I think its awesome that you are doing it, and to even be AT 35 is amazing to me, I am so.freaking.slow
I have added some strength training to my days "off" from running in the hopes that building my core muslces will help with my speed. Right now I am at about 4miles/hour, so I have quite a bit of work to do.
I will do the 10k this year no matter what, even if I have to walk part of it, but to run it would be amazing!

Edited to change km to miles!
I'm really bad about training! Just do a bit on the treadmill a couple of weeks before. I actually power walk, jogging just doesn't work for me somehow. So I look really peculiar but I walk at almost 8k (nearly 5 miles ) an hour and overtake slow joggers. In a 5k event, I start at a run so that I can start with the runners and not get caught up with slower walkers. Then once the real runners have raced off, I go to power walking.
I was supposed to o a half marathon last September but hurt my foot and couldn't take part.
