Fit Bit vs. Body Bugg

I used to have the 2nd generation bodybugg and I LOVED it!  Since then, they've released the new bodybugg that automatically connects to your phone.  It is VERY accurate.  I understand the cost is a bit high, but since I had a membership with 24 Hour Fitness, I had a personal trainer that had given me about a years' worth of membership to the site for FREE, just for having a 24 Hour Fitness membership, so it's worth a try asking either the personal trainer (everyone gets a couple initial "consultations/trainings" just for signing up to the gym.  It is by far (at least in my area) the most affordable membership (paid just under $200 for an all-club sport membership for a year) and has some of the coolest classes that you can try (I used to do zumba, spinning, 24lift, 24set, latin spice, etc.).  Unfortunately, I've fallen off that wagon in the last 2 years due to numerous factors.
