First Fill

Got my first fill today it hurt a little but not much. Does anyone fill a little pain on the side where the port is when u sleep on it??

Hello there!  I'm glad the first fill went well!  My surgery was in March and I still can't sleep on my belly.  not that it hurts it just feels like its pulling or something, so I just avoid laying flat on my belly.  I usually have some tenderness around my port area after a fill.  After all they have shoved 1 small needle to numb it and one BIIIGGGGG ass needle down through to fill me up!    It usually goes away after a couple of days!  Lot of luck and hugs to you!! 

The whole belly thing is pretty difficult for me being that has been the only way I have slept my whole life. But I guess there's time for a change. It didn't hurt long after the fill but I could tell I had a fill because I don't eat much again and I get full pretty quick. As for the neddle thing I refuse to look lol! But trust me I felt it :-) Lots of luck to you as well!!!

 I feel a little pain when I sleep on my right side from the port as well.  How are you doing with your lap band.  I still get hungry, even after my first fill.  I hope that changes later.  Michelle.

I am doing ok with the lapband I still feel hungry but it has gotten to the point were it takes so long to eat food I just wanna eat a few bites and say i'm done expectally since the fill. But before the fill my appetite was beginning to increase but i would just eat enough an not more than that. I'm down 30 since the day before surgery now. My surgery was 10/28/11 so i'm hanging in there the best i can. You are doing great!!! As for the pain my doctor said oh ur going to feel that pain if you sleep that way.

Thanks for responding.  You are doing great.  I need to eat more slowly.  My doctor said that I would not feel restriction until later.  I am just eating what I am supposed to.  Happy New Year to you.

Hi..I was just banded on Dec. 15 and finally can sleep on one side without my heating pad. I am ready for my first fill but it is not till Feb. 1st. Hopefully I will be able to sleep that way when I get my first fill.
