I am 3 weeks post op today and I have been itching like crazy..  It started in my hands & them my feet it moved up my legs just to my calf's now on my back & chest  but my back and chest have  a rash along with it.  Has anyone experience this?  Is it caused from the Band or just the change in your body?  I have nothing but bad luck what ever i do & I am hoping that I will not have to have this band removed. I have stooped with the vitamins last week  and as of yesterday I am stopping the Whey Protein shake. Hopefully it will be one of them. I am going to give it until Monday to see if it has cleared up before i call the Dr. again..

I had some itching at my port site -- but that was just the sensation from healing -- not like what you are describing.

It definitely sounds like some type of low-level allergy ---- possibly the protein.

You should be able to take a benadryl to help with the itching -- but that will make you sleepy, so be careful.

I would not wait until Monday, I would call the doctor today and get an educated opinion.

Hi Kathy,

Well I am not sure if it's low level or to much. I have been drinking the Whey Protein shake every morning, I'm not wondering if it is something in the Whey protein. But I used to drink the whey protein every morning about a yr ago and never had any problems with it then. that's why I am not sure what is really going on.. I am doing the benadryl and it does help..but I am scard it my be something else.. Your right I will call the Dr today maybe they can call something in or maybe want to see me. Thank you for your help.
