I finally got a date
This has been a long time coming for me, Im sure many have felt the same way before me. I am 3 weeks out and about to begin my liquid diet. At first I thought it would suck because its holiday time, but when I thought about I realized that its now or never and this would be the first of many test.
I can't wait, I know that their is a lot of work to do a head but, nothing comes withiout making a sacrifice first. I hope that I am thing realistically that I will only be home a week.
When I last met with my surgen he suggested that I get the band with the plication. I had shared with him that I was afraid I would not have success with the band alone. After doing some research I felt a lot more comfortable about having the plication.
Happy Holidays to everyone and may the New Year bring you many blessings

Congratulations on your date! That is such an exciting time.
You are doing well to look at the liquid diet the way you are. That attitude goes a long way toward success. You may find yourself starving and discouraged about it at some point. Just remember that no food tastes as good as giving yourself a shot at a new life with new self respect. That and there isn't anything there to eat that you won't ever be able to have again unless you choose not to. I got through some of those times by telling myself that I could have it but it wasn't in my best interest so I chose not to.
Good luck, and keep us posted. Have a great Holiday and a fresh start.
