First fill today.

 I went for my first fill today, and still do not feel restriction.  I was told that there was no saline in the band before that also.  They would only put in 2 cc's.  I have been losing weight anyways, through diet and exercise.  I am going to keep it up.  I have lost 32 lbs.  Has anyone had this problem?  Michelle.

 It is very common not to get restriction until after several fills.  Well done for doing so well on your own!

I have had 2 fills and did not feel more restriction till a week or so out.
After the last fill I was hungry till it finally kicked in! Wait a week and hopefully you'll be better.

Well, I was always told to do liquids for 24 hours after a fill --- so, I don't know if I had restriction right away since my restriction does not apply to liquids.

What I did, was to visualize the band inside of me --- like a belt around a pair of jeans.
After my surgery, I visualized the band was there to 'keep things up' -- and I ate according to my doctor's plan (liquids, mushies, etc).

Then, with every fill, I visualized that 'belt' being tightened.  I figured that if I could eat right the day before the fill, that I could eat right (or even less) the day after the fill.

I did not try to test to see if I had restriction ---- I planned my meals, and I served myself my weighed out portion --- and I ate that slowly and carefully and then I stopped eating........period.

I waited 45 minutes to 1 hour and I began to drink water -- and I drank water until it was time to eat again.

 Thanks so much everyone for the good advice.  I will see if I get restriction after a while.  I will also drink more water.  I was told that it will probably take 5 months before I get restricition, I hope it is sooner.  Michelle.
