Thank You Obesity Help! For changing the Terms of Service of cyberbullying

 I did not log in yesterday, but I logged in this morning and wow , finally something is being done about all the cyber bullying/cyber harassment"  and bashing. As more people converse in an online enviornment cyber bullying has become a crime and people can actually be prosecuted for it.

Now, hopefully all the lap banders that left in the last two years still lurk can come back.  I deactivated my account this year because it had gotten so bad, and came back and just lurked, most people seeking the band would be quickly run off especially if they posted any thing regarding the band on the Main forum, or those who had RNY were being bullied.

The sad thing is, all people wanted was a support site where they could come share their journey whether good or bad or complication, every ones journey will not be the same, there will always be people that the band will not work for, this is where people should do their research to thoroughly understand how the band works and if it is right for them, not because they can't afford the Sleeve or RNY, because if you do not give the band 100 percent, it will not work for you.
 
The band is not for everyone, RNY is not for everyone, the Sleeve is not for everyone, the DS is not for everyone, this is why surgeons offer different options for different people and their lifestyle, medical needs and starting weight. It is not a crime if the band did not work for some people who are seeking revisions, nor should they feel shame, but they should not harrass others who the band did work for.

People seek revisions for every type of surgery for various reasons and each surgery has its pro and cons, it is up to the individual to decide if they want to live with side effects of each perspetive surgery, not strangers on the internet making this life changing decision for someone.

It is disrespectful for people to post on the lap band forum and smirk at those who chose the band and make them feel stupid for choosing it, for many people whether it be medical or religious, getting their insides rearranged or stomach removed it is a deal breaker.

I can see now a small change in the lap band forum it is slow but surely coming back to life

Thank you I made it through my first year on this site. I thank you and wish everybody a very Merry Christmas or whatever holiday you celebrate and stay well, healthy and may everyone stay in peace and enjoy our life to the best we are able and enjoy our food whenever we eat. We have to stay together for all the new people who comes on as I did last year seeking help and not get discourged. Yes there were days I just couldn't come on and read and I just picked the best and left the rest. Amen.

 I have been on here for 2 1/2 yrs since surgery and lurked on here about 12 months prye.. and I have learned alot.. Bad and good... But, then again I take things with a grain of salt if I don't know someone..Nothing on here has ever made me want to give up on my surgery or make me not surf this forum..I enjoy reading everybodys  post the good, the bad and the ugly..It is a helpful tool to me.. I wish everyone a great success in their band..You can learn alot lurking here...For everyone out there. Once you are on this forum, you can pretty much tell who and who not to trust or believe. I found a few that have nothing but neg. things to say, some complain about the "dumbest" things. (can I fly with the band) really?? anyway..right now I am enjoying my life with my band and hope everyone no matter what route you took to control your weight, you are enjoying your life...Merry Christmas To All..."Lucky"
