Hello everyone I was wondering if someone could give me some advice. I had my 2nd band adjustment on Wednesday and I did my step one diet for the 48 hours as instructed. Now my question is yesturday I was supposed to slowly go back to my regular diet which I did. Now I seem to not be able to keep anything down even a small amount of chicken noodle soup with nothing but a little bit of crackers came back up. Now is this something I should be alarmed about or should I just give it a few more days and see if the problem takes care of it's self? I would really appreciate any help that you all can give me i only had my surgery back in July and i am still new at this. Thanks everyone, have a safe and healthy Christmas also a New Year full of nothing but weightloss success..

I would go have a slight unfill you will vomit and have problems holding foods and liquids down if you are too tight.  Feel better.

The samething happaned to me a month ago.Call your surgeon right away. He met me in ER and removed half of the fluid he had put in and I was fine afterwards. I couldn't ever drin water or swollow my meds. Its really important that you call him.

I have to stage 1 for almost 2 weeks after a fill that is just how my body reacts. After my second fill I had to do puree for 2 weeks. After my 3rd fill I had to do it for 10 days but ended up with a partial unfill because it didn't get better. Every-ones body is so different. If you can't keep liquids or purees down over the next two days I would call the doc.

If I could keep down water, I would wait until Monday and call my doctor's office for advice.

If I could not keep down water, I would call the doctor's after-hours number and get their advice right away -- and possibly meet them at their office or the ER for a little unfill.

Last year, on New Year's Day, I was in a hurry and grabbed a handful of granola and shoved it in my mouth and then took a big swig of iced tea ---- huge mistake.
I got stuck and was 'sliming' all day long - could not keep down tea, water, soup ---- I ended up calling the doc at about 5pm and met him in his office at 6pm -- he took out all of the fluid and had me sip some water to 'dislodge' the little piece of granola that was stuck -- and then he re-filled me while I stood there ----- immediate relief.

My doc does not want me to ever seek help (ER -- in town or when I am away from home) without calling him for his advice first.

Good luck
Kath

I would go have a slight unfill, you dont want to get dehydrated either. I got dehydrated in the beginning of my fills. Defitenly call them and get it taken care of! Hope you feel better!
