So nervous about today............

So,

I was banded three years ago, lost 30 pounds and haven't seen my surgeon in 2 years. Bad, I know.
I am feeling good but want to lose more weight and follow up like I should.  I feel like I will be
lectured today or written off as the noncompliant patient.

Can I get a fresh start? Should I be nervous?

You may in fact get a lecture but that may be a good thing to help you get back on track! The band does require alot of follow up to help with success. You are making the first step and should feel good about that!  Good luck as you restart your journey! You can do this :)

Jen,

Of course you can get a fresh start. While you may get a lecture, it's one you know you deserve. The bariatric surgeons I've talked to are sad when a patient doesn't follow up after surgery and delighted when patients return. So I wouldn't be nervous unless your surgeon has a very poor bedside manner.

Good luck!

I can't see any point at all in a lecture! You almost certainly know what you need to do! But coming here is an excellent start!

Of course you can start again. Do you have any feeling of restriction? First thing is to see your surgeon and, if necessary, get a fill.

Keep coming for support, but if we are to help you, you need to tell us more about your band, your eating patterns etc..

Highest 290, Banded - 248   Lowest 139 (too thin!). Comfort zone 155-165.

Happily banded since May 2006.  Regain of 28lbs 2013-14.  ALL GONE!

But some has returned! Up to 175, argh! Off we go again,

Thanks you guys :)

I saw my surgeon and he didn't lectue me, we had a lengthy discussion though. I had a small
fill and need to focus on the basics.

He said it's not too late, that is the beauty of the band.

Thanks so much again.
