Just got back from seeing ny family Dr. and I am so upset with myself. I knew I might have gained a pound or two but I was really hoping that I had maintained over thanksgiving well I did neither. I gained 5 pounds. Here I thought I was doing so good and I just screwed up completely. Haven't been able to exercise because I messed up my knee and it keeps going out on me. I have to go for an MRI on the 21st. to see how much damage. In the mean time they want me to stay off,as much as possible. How am I suppose to loose this if I can't walk? Just so damn frustrated 8 months out and I have only lost 34 pounds with this setback. Thanks for letting ne vent

Hi Anna..I feel your frustration.  I just noticed though that you started out with a lower weight than most Ive seen here.  You can't compare your weight loss to someone whoo started at a much higher weight.  Being only at 217, you will lose slower than someone with a much higher weight.

I can't exercise well either because of a bad hip and artificial knee but I'm doing pretty good since I started on 8 minutes a day exercise plan by Jorge Cruise.  I lost about 5 lbs and 4 inches in 28 days.

Are your clothes looser?  Have you measured lately?  The scale doesnt tell the whole story :)

5.0 cc in a 10cc lapband  (four  fills) 1 unfill of .5cc  on 5/24/2011.
.5 fill  March 2012. unfill of .25cc May 2012.  Unfill of .5cc June 2014.

Still with my lapband with no plans for revision. Band working well since

last small unfill.

I just saw you are doing Jorge Cruise as well.  I just started so I'm looking forward to him helping me regain my focus =)

Don't be discouraged.  You can do this.  Just keep to the rules with food.  Have you thought about working out in a pool.  A friend of mine lost 80lbs and that's the only workout she does because of her knee and hip.
Good luck!

Hijack on the post!!!

Barbara, .4 pounds to 100?? Egads, I'd be suicidal!! LOL  I have 5 pounds to go to my goal of 100 by Christmas and the scale is finding great humor in not moving for me.  If I were that close I would be pulling my hair out!!

Good luck on the next .4 :)

I know what you mean, Donnamarie!  I keep wavering between 98 & 99lbs.  This is the closest I've been so far to 100lbs.  And dammit, I'm gonna get there by Christmas, if not before.

We'll do it!!!

I'm really sorry about your knee. I feel your frustration. All you can do is count calories and maybe try the swimming idea. Don't give up hope yet. Just keep venting that's what we r here for.

Swimming is a great form of excercise that doesn't strain your muscles.  Physical therapists use it to take the strain off the body.  You will succeed!  Don't lose sight of the prize!
