Trying to be patient...

But it's so hard! My surgeon's office sent my paperwork last week, and I was told to calback on Friday to see if I had been approved (my surgery is scheduled for 12/14). I did, and it was still showing as pending. Tried to call my insurance company to expedite, they told me the Dr's office would need to request that status. Called back and left a message, didn't hear anything back. Tired again this morning, was told surgeon's office waiting on expedited status. I told them I want to make sure my company knows, because once I am shceduled for a leave date, I lose system access, and it is a pain once I come back to reinstate, so I really, really need to know.

Anybody else down to the wire like this?!

I can do this...I know I can. It's just going to take time & patience.

I am surprised they scheduled you without having any approval!!

That's frustrating what you are going through but know that it could be any moment that you are approved.  Do you believe there is any reason for you not to be approved?  I had some issues with my scheduled date and had to change one date because of a late approval, but it was never written in stone so it didn't frustrate me.

I don't have much more to add but good luck!!!

I was surprised too to be honest, I actually thought they would want to get the approval first! The only reason I may not be approved is my BMI is literally at the tipping point. I may be considered "not heavy enough," because my BMI teeters between 34.8 and 36, depending on the day of the week, really! lol.
