2 days post op still sore this normal

 I had my lapband done on Friday and I am sore today still. Can anyone tell me how long the discomfort lasts?

I think my soreness lasted about a week.

oh great LOL.. were you able to drive right away? These are questions I failed to ask the doctor.

 honey, at the beginning you need A LOT of patience, much more than hoping 2 days post op everything is fine- you had a surgery after all! Mine lastet two weeks, but my doc signed me off for four weeks. Hang in there, you will be fine!

You should feel much better in the next 1 to 1 1/2 wks.

  I have had surgery before and I just guess I underestimated the soreness. I look forward to talking to everyone and getting advice and just talking to people who have gone thru or going thru what I will be going thru on this new journey Thank you everyone

You might get twinges for months after you've healed, even. It takes quite a while for the body to heal fully. 

After I had surgery, my surgeon recommended waiting until you could react fully without damaging yourself to drive. (And not while you're on painkillers, of course!)  If you can brake without it causing pain, you might be good to go. I'd recommend waiting at least a few days after, though, personally.
