Weight loss - 109lbs

approx 6 fills and 1 unfill in the whole time.
Highest 290, Banded - 248 Lowest 139 (too thin!). Comfort zone 155-165.
Happily banded since May 2006. Regain of 28lbs 2013-14. ALL GONE!
But some has returned! Up to 175, argh! Off we go again,
Years Banded - 4 years, 5 months
Minor Complication - 0
Major Complication - 0
Mechanical Failure - Lap-Band is significantly lower than where it was placed
Weight loss - 60 lbs. originally, now 8 lbs. over surgery weight
Band Type: - 10 cc Lap-Band --> Will be having revision to RNY on 2/13/12
Pre-Surgery Weight: 253 lbs.
Current Weight: 135-140 lbs.
Minor Complication - Pretty bad acid reflux over the past few years, vomiting, slippage.
Major Complication - Band slipped 5cm and has NOT resolved. I guess that is a MEDIUM complication because it requires removal and I will be revising to VSG.
Mechanical Failure - None, actually. My surgeon freaking rocks. It was placed well and such, no port problems other than it's annoying.
Weight loss - 75 lbs in the first 6 months, then slowly regained 30, 40, 50 lbs.
Also was pregnant for most of 2009 and part of 2010, only gained 15 lb with help of the band.
Post-pregnancy my band never really found its happy place again; mysteriously began getting too tight, I couldn't get food down, went in for 4 or 5 unfills until presented with nausea.
Ironically I have lost 35 lbs since having my band completely unfilled because I could finally eat protein and veggies and go low carb, which I could not do with any band restriction. Funny how hard it is to follow the rules with it tight.
So I am down 65 lb from my highest but still have 80-90 lb to lose.
Band Type: 10cc AP
Can't wait to have this piece of **** taken out. FWIW my surgeon doesn't even place them anymore. Please do your research before you decide to go with this surgery and prepare yourself for more surgery down the road, because it's pretty much a guarantee at this point.
