WILL MY BAND GO AHEAD AND SLIP ALREADY!!!!
Sorry you're tight and squeeky ;)
I hear you on the 25 lb thing. I have that last 25 to lose as well, and it's not going anywhere. I know why, and it's my own fault. HOWEVER instead of feeling like I've failed, I have to consider I have maintained a 80+ lb wt loss for a year. Oh sure I've lost 60 or so lbs before and maintained for like...a day. The fact I can maintain the loss with not a whole lot of effort is AMAZING to me.
And truth be told maintainance is the true success. If you can't maintain, what difference does it make how much you lose?
So for now I'm happy for where I'm at. Sure, I could get a fill and go tighter, but right now I know I have enough restriction, the rest neeeds to come from my head. After the holidays...my head's back in the game...exercise and cut the carbs..follow my band rules. Till then stay away from sweets and try to eat my protein first...and maintain

The way some nutcases complain about ppl "band bashing" an yet she is the first one to bash another WLS!
~I do not envy people with RNY for one minute because I don't envy possible daily dumping FOREVER, vomiting, strictures, adhesion's, hernias, heavily dependent on vitamins FOR LIFE, and other issues that crop up years down the road.~
MOST RNY'ers don't dump! Many bandsters vomit, and get adhesions and hernias. Bandstes ar suppose to supplement with vitamins as well!

Whatever you do Lesley, do not get a plication. It is a bad choice! I was seconds away from having this procedure done (No BS, I was on the operating table, I had signed the papers to have this procedure done and my surgeon was going to do it free of charge as no insurance pays for it. As they were about to put me under I said please get my surgeon and on the OR phone I said "don't do the revision, just remove my band". Now this was not so simple it took months and months for the hospital to approve him to do this procedure. I was down to the wire. It was the end of the year and my insurance was changing. I needed my band outand could not chance that I my new insurance would not cover this removal.
The vertical sleeve plication really can not be taken down! It seemed like the ideal surgery for me, I wanted to keep my stomach! Super bad idea. Docs are doing this along with adjustable gastric bands - it's going to be a disaster. So much scar tissue and it begins to adhere to one another in the pleats. vessels etc. get strangled and parts of the stomach can die. I wish I could get this one woman's profile for you- I will look.
If you are unsure have your band taken out. You can always decide on something later if you wanted to.
I wish you well honey. You will be okay no matter what but please don't do the imbrication.
Best,
Leila
