Had my 1st scare since surgery
So starting Thurs. I had HORRIBLE stomach cramps (vomiting, diarrhea the works) went to my internal medicine dr and she said possibly the stomach bug and gave me a prescription for bloodwork. Pain, vomiting all got worse and worse...Monday morning was completely unbearable so I called the surgeon's office and they told me to come in immediately. I went in and they did a complete fill then sent me down to have x-ray well I drank the horrible drink and they sent me back to the surgeons office only to find out the foods I have been eating has not been digesting instead it was just piling up on top of each other so yesterday I had an emergency endoscopy and on liquids for two weeks. That was the worst pain. Is there a greater chance of this happening to me again after it has happened once? Has any of you experienced this? And YES I do CHEW CHEW CHEW and take small bites

3.5cc already? i know we had surgery around the same time and i havent had a fill yet, if you are losing a pound a week please dont get fills because that could happen again. My surgeon refuses to give any fills if you are losing which is good makes me feel in control.. take ur time with the liquids make sure u are ready to start eating again when u are healed.. good luck

I am sorry you are going though this, hopefully some rest and letting the swelling and irritation go down will help it not happen again. With that said, whenever you vomit with the band you are going to cause irritation, and you should pretty much immediatly go right to liquids for a few meals to give it a chance to settle.
As a reccomendation for liquids though, the College Inn Thai Coconut Chicken broth is DELICIOUS, and so is the roasted veggie and garlic herb. It's nice for a change of pace. I would also reccomend Click protien, it tastes good and is on sale at Amazon right now!

It also sounds like IBS to me which is the gift that keeps on giving. I have cramping meds I take at the very first sign of a stomach cramp.
