Can you swallow the antibiotic with a swig of mylanta ? Sometimes I have to swallow some meds with mylanta just so it coats everywhere the med might irritate me.

I have a sub-lingual pill I take for my IBS. I take it at the first sign of abdominal discomfort regardless if it's IBS or not, can't let an IBS attack get too far out of control or I'm up **** creek literally. So if you think taking an IBS med might help with the tummy pain then let me know and I'll get up off my bed and lose a pound and walk my fat downstairs so I can get the meds out of my purse, walk my fat back upstairs, lose another pound and type the name of the med out for you.

Ya know, Pumpkin, that might work. I will try it and letcha know. If I puke, though, there's gonna be a problem. And you'll have to come here and hold my hair.

Don't get up. I can Google.   I'm seeing the doc in a couple of days, anyhoo.

like yourself, i am a food addict.  the band was not for me.  I only lost 16 pounds after being banded for 18 months.  my band slipped, had to come out, could not be "fixed".  my insurance would not pay for another band, because the slippage in their opinion was due to my overeating.....which was probably correct.  i am fortunate, in that i do not have chronic health problems as a result of being banded, as some of our dear friends here do.  i do misss the feeling of restriction.............but i do not miss the puking!  if you are a food addict like myself, the band most likely will not be the tool for you.  you will always find a way to eat around it....like i did.  :(
like pumpkin suggested, i encourage you to check out other websites and stories from people that have been in our shoes.  for ME, another band would have been irresponsible on my part.
i wish you the best of luck.
