Hope it goes well for you. Hopefully it s just irritated/ inflamed tissue from before the fill but, as you say, it needs investigatibg.

Highest 290, Banded - 248   Lowest 139 (too thin!). Comfort zone 155-165.

Happily banded since May 2006.  Regain of 28lbs 2013-14.  ALL GONE!

Don't just ask your surgeon for that test...DEMAND one and don't leave until you get it. Now I'm going to go back through your posting history and see if I can find more detailed information regarding your pain and the location of it.

You need more then an upper GI , you also need an endoscopy and if your are throwing up pink and/or red bloody mucosa it's possible that your band has not only slipped, but eroded as well. It is possible that all your vomiting could be the cause of the bloody mucosa you may have, but you won't know until you get those tests done.

Call a doctor...any doctor, just call one that will listen to you and order both of those tests STAT. If I were you I would outright lie and tell them you are still unable to keep any fluids down. That is the only way you are going to get these doctors to do something.

Is it possible for you to just show up at the hospitals ER dept where your band surgeon practices out of ? You could show up dehydrated and in severe pain and have those tests ordered lickity split...just sayin

P.S. You might want to stop eating solids if all they are doing is sitting inside your esophagus waiting for you to barf it back up. That is another complication in itself and the only fix for that is band removal too.

Long wait times are common with most lap band surgeons if Lap Bands are their primary source of income, but that's another gripe of mine best left for another day.

If I were you and could get myself admitted to a hospital, then that's exactly what I would do in your situation, because you would be able to get all those tests done in a very short amount of time and then you won't have to suffer being in sharp pain every time you eat.

Where in your abdomen exactly is your pain ?

Besides being sharp, does your pain burn or sting ?

Are you nauseated ?

Are you bloating with your pain episodes ?

Are you burping and/or passing gas with your pain ?

What are your BM's like when you have this pain ?
