I failed and now embarrassed to ask for help

Hello,

I was banded 3 years ago, lost about 30 pounds and have kept it off. I totally could have kept
losing weight if I continued to try. I am ready now but..................I'm embarrassed and scared about
going back to my surgeon for help and follow up. I haven't been back to him in 2 years. I feel like
such a failure.  I know I shouldn't let my worries keep me from see my surgeon but like I said I'm
really nervous about going back after so long.

Please send encouragement :)  After 2 years of not seeing him are there any tests or exams I
should anticipate him wanting to do?  I feel good, don't get stuck (rarely), don't feel any of
the symptoms I hear of that can mean a problem.

Do not let this stop you from starting over and getting back on track! They may want to do some tests to be sure the band is in order but most likely they will get you scheduled for a fill. Go back to basics and begin again :) You can do this!! best of luck as you "re" begin your journey :)

Keeping that weight off is a HUGE accomplishment now quit being a weenie, hold your head up, get your ass in there and do what you have to do in order for you to lose more weight. You have nothing to be ashamed of, so stop it !

Your doctor and his entire staff work for YOU not the other way around, so be prepared to hand out some ***** slaps if one of them should feel the need to admonish or embarrass you. Bring a can of whoop ass with you in case they need to be reminded of who is employing who.

Congrats on keeping it off that the hardest part of this whole thing. now what r u ashame off? shows that u had initiative but ur a human beeing and sometimes we give up, not the best desicion but thats life. thank god u had no complications NOW GET BACK TO WORK :P

Tell us when your appointment is so we can stalk you and harass you into going...were just helpful like that.

 Oh, Pumpkin, get out of the poor girl's bushes and stop creeping around in her yard. I thought we discussed your stalking problem after the LAST restraining order!
