Maria,
I do regret getting the lapband,  I wish I would have went with the gastric bypass, but I was a self-pay and I got the lapband because it cost alot less than the bypass....now I feel like I'm stuck with something that doesn't work for me.  I could never afford revision....

Also, Carol.

The more weight you have to lose the faster you will lose it in the beginning.  You are a light weight and will lose slower, just a fact of life.  The smaller I get, the harder it is to lose it.  Hang in there, 35 lbs is good, and you will get there too.

Hi Carol!
I'm not sure how many ccs I have, I will find out on 12-8-11 and let you know. I do some type of cardio everyday for 30-60 min. I just follow the band rules I don't drink andy soda/pop and I really don't eat any bread. I think the band works diffrent for everyone you just have to find what works for you. You were not as heavy as me so you are not gonna lose as much as fast so just take your time and dont ru**** Congrats on your 35lbs. That is something to celebrate!!! the band is not a cure all I have come to learn, but it is a big help! Keep me posted on your weight loss and keep up the good work

Congratulations!!!  I remember my one year anniversary on 04/30/10.  I had lost a hundred pounds.   I went on to lose about 130 but have gained about 15 lbs ok really twenty of those pounds back after thanksgiving.  I have been really good this week so hopefully I will start losing again.  Im very proud of you and its going to motivate me to get back on track so that by my three year anniversary I can say that I have lost hopefully 30 lbs by then.  I let myself slide back into bad habits after the first full year so becareful and dont make the mistakes I have made.  I havent had an issue with breads or diet drinks but really they arent good for you and if you have stayed away from them keeping on staying away it can end up being a slippery slope.  But be proud of yourself everyday.  You have changed your life for the better and its a great feeling!!!  Have a Merry Christmas and just enjoy your life.  Things change and you have to change with them.  Last Christmas was my last year with my daddy and I know that he would want me to get back on the horse and lose this extra weight.  Anyway keep up the good work.  Sorry for my post Maybe I wrote more for me so that I will stay on track.  Have a great day and celebrate your success!!
