Confused about the band

N.M. - and if she were to get the sleeve and suffered from repercussions should she not come and share her horrors just as you and everyone else did????  Sounds like you're being a hypocrite...

What part are you missing here? Your question doesn't pertain to what we're even talking about. She consistently says that if she should develop band complications, she wouldn't come back to this forum. BUT, out of the OTHER side of her mouth, she claims band complications don't happen unless you have the band too tight, yada yada... she can't have it both ways.

You haven't been here long enough to know what's what, honestly. You'll find out, though. And, God forbid you start having complications, I'll tell you right now that your friend, NanaB will tell you that it's YOUR fault, so good luck with that.

There are going to be a lot of hurting units in need of help and those hurting units are going to be hard pressed to find that help if  they alienate the people who could and would help them.

Um, sorry sweetie to burst your invisible bubble ..I am on the 'right' track, that is gaining knowledge and doing research.. However, after reading some of your and other posts I am beginning to think I am not in the right place. So, I would have to agree with you on that 'one' that I may NOT be on this site too much longer and may have to look for 'support' elsewhere (that is why I came here in the first place), I have already graduated from college and certainly didn't want to feel as if I were in class, unfortunately, this is by far the most uneducated discussion I have ever had to endure.

BTW,  complications do happen, they happen in any surgery and I have been stressing that all along. I would NEVER tell people what type of surgery to get, like YOU have. Who do YOU think you are???  I have personally seen complications in my relatives and friends. A dear friend of mine died at the age of 41 last year from a leakage, leaving behind her 4 year old. My own brother had gastric bypass and had TONS of complications, he has now gained every single pound back in just 4 years. I have close friends who had the lap band and sleeve done. Each one can share their own ups and downs...Like I keep saying over and over again, but because YOU have a thick head, NOTHING IS 100%.

Keep lecturing Professor...

You sound like every other ignoramus who has posted here over the years, honestly. It's like you're all the same person with no knowledge of human anatomy.

I didn't bother reading your whole post because I've seen it before... and you're just another one who shows up, gets her undies in a bundle, has band complications and then realizes what an ass she made of herself.

My favorite "undies in a bunch" pre-op, who was really nasty to me on several occasions, is now on the VSG board waiting for her sleeve b/c she realized that the band "wasn't for her" after one of our "uneducated" conversations. Love when that happens.

I saw one over on the Revisions forum recently, too. Funny how they don't come back here to the lapband board when they were SO incredibly disgruntled with people "bashing the band" only a year or so earlier, isn't it?  They'd be doing a service to pre ops if they DID come back and say, "Hey, you know what? I might have been wrong. Sorry." Of course, then they'd be accused of "band bashing" and yada yada... it's quite a cycle.

Brock changes his screen name and posts on the revision forum when he gets sick of his band. Then he forgets and says who he is, lol. Then..........he trashes ppl on the revision forum when they say something negative about the band after he just snuck over there to research b/c his CRAP-BAND is not working! LMAO.

Ppl are funny yanno?! ;-)

Oh, I like Brock! I know you two don't get along. But he and I have the same weird sense of humor.

The ones who proclaim the virtues of the band are usually the quietest when it comes to revising, aren't they?
