Okay guys!! So I went in today for a SMALL fill, 0.25 cc in my band. So far, I don't feel any different. Ate a whole chicken quesadilla for dinner (Wheat w/ chicken) I've done this before since some foods "slide" down alot better than others!! This allows me to eat more of that food. I never felt any urge to stop tonight. I don't know if its just emotional eating or if there is something wrong with my band. Everything looked good today at the doc.. maybe I need more fill?? Before when I went to much on the fills, I would take 2-3 bites and feel stuck. (too tight).  I just can't seem to reach that "perfect" place. Apparently, I'm eating too much or too little. I'm gonna try to eat solid protein first tomorrow and see what happens! Thanks  for all the advice!

i was always advised to do a day of liquids & soft foods a few days after a fill.

Some people say a fill can take time to take effect, it never did for me, though.

It is quite unusual to be allowed solids on the day of a fill, so take care!

Adjustable Gastric Band on 11/10/11
I had my lap band surgery on 11/10.  I still feel hungry, so I am looking forward to getting my first fill in a month.  I have lost 25 lbs (including the pre-op diet) so far.  The weight is moving off slower now, I am afraid to add more solid foods.  I will have to eat some eventually.  I need more support.  I forgot that there was a lap band support group last night, I could have used it.  Well, I will be sure to attend the next ones.  Michelle.

I doubt you should be eating after a fill either, usually liquids 2 days then mushies for 2 days.
I had my second fill on 11/15 and just now feeling tighter.
After a fill your body also needs time to heal.

I'm with the others.  Usually after a fill I'm on liquids then mushies.  But it was my 4th fill before I REALLY noticed any long term restriction.  Good Luck!

The band isn't going to make you feel full, I never felt full. I felt stuck once in awhile but never really full (like a huge meal) you may get a feeling of enough, but we shouldn't be eating looking for a full feeling. I agree with the others it's usually liquids for the first 24 hours after a fill and like Kate said it often takes days sometimes weeks for you to feel a fill.

FILLS are a funny thing.
Each FILL should be looked at as a learning curve, what you may have been able to eat at one FILL, You might not beable to eat at the next. It's Constantly changing. Some times it can take a few days before a FILL kicks in, Bands are special.

LIQUIDS are required after your FILL, not wheat with chicken. And a veggie with that chicken if you still have space a few bites of fruit, before ever eating a processed carb.  Never eat to the point of pain, we are just suppose to eat to the point of feeling "satisfied", and that is something very foreign to us!!! I am 4 years out and I am still learning what that is suppose to feel like. I weigh and measure my food daily, because our minds are so deceptive.

And ya know what I am gonna say next, right? Just because you can, doesn't mean you should.

I posted something earlier this week about emotional eating, you may want to look it up.
Good luck,
