straight medicaid i doubt it! You have to chose a HMO and find a surgeon that takes that HMO! i had Health First when i did my lap band and only required 3 months of follow up visits with my primary doctor!!

Alaska Medicaid paid for the portion that my Medicare didn't. They also paid for my travel to see my surgeon. And they will pay for a revision if I ever need one. Each states Medicaid program is different, you can call and see what they will pay for.

I have medicaid here in Illinois and they are paying for everything even the fills.

Well, I went to the dr. and here in WV medicaid will not pay for the lapband but they will pay for gastric bypass. I am afraid of gastric bypass so I am not going to have it. Now I really don't know what to do. I have tried everything .
