Feeling Nauseous

Not sure what happened, but I think it may be the vitamins. I'm having trouble getting all of them down, even though they are mostly chewables, so I'm spreading them out during the day.

The nausea compelled me to eat a lot of dry crackers, and that actually helped a lot, rather than my usual snack of cottage cheese and 1/2 c of canned peaches. But, now I won't be able to eat dinner, as I'm still slightly naseous and probably won't have room for real food.

Does anyone have a suggestion to ward off the naseous feeling? It seems unless I am eating a very large meal, the vitamins are really doing a number on my stomach! Especially that B-complex and the fish oil....

Thanks!

Do you have a clinical need  for so many supplements? Bandsters are usually only told to take one daily multivitamin. I used to also take a fish oil tablet ( brcsuse of my age not my band ) but because the tablets are so big, I now take effervescent chondritin/ glucosamine instead.

But some has returned! Up to 175, argh! Off we go again,

Hi Kate:

I reviewed the vitamins with my nutritionist, but it may be time for a tune up. I thought because of my 1000 calorie restriction that I needed the extras. I take a multiple, B complex, vitamin D, calcium, fish oil, omeprazole, a probiotic, biotin, and Claritin. I usually take the fish oil a few times a day, but not today!

Thanks.

You have to do what your nut tells you. But the general guideline for bandsters who do not have other non- band issues, is just one multi vit a day. It is usually people with the malabsorptive surgeries who need higher levels of supplements.

But if you are taking omeprazole, I assume you do have other digestive issues.
