Problems with Band

I work at an eye clinic which we have to be careful of patients who are very sensitive to there vegus nerve. When we dialate a patients eyes if they are sensitive they can pass out or feel sick from the drops effecting this nerve. Some people are just more sensitive than others but this is a very rare side effect because a patient that has a sensitive nerve is pretty rare.

After 12 years in the field and thousands of patients I have had probably 3-5 patients pass out and less than ten feel 'light headed' from the drops. You never know who these patients will be.

Some people just have a more snsitive nerve or are more snsitive to this nerve being bothered. It is very rare but happens.

Just thought you may be interested in this info with your experiences.

Kutssa,

I have permanent nerve damage from the lap band. I have burning nerve pain in my shoulders, neck, & arms, my back pain is through the roof. I'm actually having a bad flare up right now and my band was removed six months ago.
I suffered from major anxiety attacks several times a day because my brain was recognizing the onset of band related symptoms before I physically became I aware of them. I was a mess, severely depressed and truthfully speaking...I had considered overdosing myself multiple times due to the chronic never ending pain.

Please get the band out of you ASAP

Your band surgeon is 100 % incorrect and I strongly urge you to to consult with an honest surgeon and preferably one *****fuses to perform the Lap Band surgery.
