pain in lower abdomen on the right side

Hi,
I am almost the months post op and have been experiencing a sharp stabbing pain on the lower right side of my abdomen.  The pain is not constant, but I feel it every now and then.  Maybe like twice a week for the last 2 weeks.  Has anyone experienced this?

 lower right side? That might have nothing to do with your band, go to the doctor, that could well be your appendix!

i am about two months out and have notice this abdomen pain as well and told my surgeon. i get it when i use the bathroom after not being able to for a day, my surgeon said it could be me pushing and recent surgery, we are still healing... when are u getting these pains? out of no where? or when u are full?

 I thought of my appendix but the pain is not unbearable - I go to the dr next week. I have not been able to move my bowels in a couple of days I noticed the pain after I took miralax - so I'm thinking may be it has something to do with gas or not being able to go to the bathroom. 

I would have your Gall Bladder checked.  It sounds a lot like what I experienced when I would have flair ups of Gall stones.  It's very common in obese women.  I had mine removed 6 years ago.  It was a breeze and a huge relief!

Did you have any such pain pre-band surgery? 

You're absolutely doing the right thing seeing a Dr.

I would think it's the appendex. Have that checked as soon as possible!

Hi. I am I week out, and I also have experienced some sharp stabbing pains on my right side, but I also had them before surgery, I went to the hospital, and also that it was appendix, but it was a floating cyst. So check it out, I'm making an appointment with my regular doctor..
