Secret Santa is DIFFICULT
First, thanks so much, Bette, for organising it.
Because of shipping times, I went out today to buy. So hard! I know quite a lot about my recipient! But I agonised over it! Do Americans like the things Brits do? I have a good notion of what my person likes, but I stood there in the shop thinking I might be totally wrong! Buying what I think she will like not necessarily what I would choose for myself!
And, of course, bring in the UK, if it is unloved, it can't be changed!
Phew! Not easy!

Kate:
Don't obsess over it. It's all in fun, and I'm sure whatever little boy or girl Santa is buying for will LOVE whatever you get.
Did your recipient post a wish list? If you think you know your person well enough, you probably do, and probably should just give whatever you think he/she will like a shot. And when all else fails, go with something involving the royal family, especially if it makes fun of them. Remember: we won that pesky war back in the 1700s and love to make fun of the rulers we took the country away from.
