You are cordially invited to join the fun, frivolity and festivities of the BAND FORUM SECRET SANTA 2011!

In the past on the lapband board we have done a Secret Santa/Gift Exchange during the holiday season. Wanna play?

Gifts should be around $25.00, not including postage. You are certainly welcome to spend more if you'd like. I, personally, find it hard to stay in budget.

Gifts can be purchased, homemade, etc.

I will take your name/info up until MIDNIGHT TONIGHT For those who are not good at math, that means you only have MERE HOURS LEFT to sign up!! NO NAMES WILL BE ACCEPTED AFTER THIS, so if you want to take part, make sure to contact me TODAY.

Assignments will be random. You will get the name of your Secret Santa recipient (who you buy FOR) by the next Saturday, November 19th. **NOTE: It will, most likely, be well before that. Last year I think I send the assignment the next day . . . .

This week, I'll put up a daily posting asking everyone who signed up to respond to the post with a list of things they like, stores they love, things they HATE, things they're allergic to, etc., to make it easier for their Santa to shop/create. The title will be "Sit on Santa's Lap and Tell Him What You Want For Christmas."

You don't have to respond every day, although it does make it easier for your Santa to find your response. Once you've posted your Wish LIst, you're good. Your Santa will be able to find your list on one of the posts, and I am always willing to direct people to the right one.

Shop for gifts and plan to mail your package no later than December 10th. That only gives you a couple of weeks, so you'll have to shop fast!

We usually select one night when we will all open our packages (a.k.a. "The Big Reveal.") This year, I was thinking we could do it on the night of DECEMBER 21st. Does that work for everyone? That night, you open your package, tell everyone what you got, THANK YOUR SANTA, and your Santa will reveal him or herself.

Please do not include your name in or on the package when you mail it!! The best way to maintain secrecy is to use your recipient's address as the return address on the package.

Please let me know if you will or will not take a recipient who lives out of the US. We have some participants who are from Canada, Europe and Australia, and I will only assign them to people who have no problem shipping overseas.

Please keep this in mind--if you commit, make sure you send a gift.

It's no fun for someone who doesn't receive a gift when they have played Santa for someone else. If cir****tances change after sign-up and you can't take part after committing, PLEASE make sure to PM me and let me know! We have back-up Santas ready to jump in.
