Sideways Port moved during plastic surgery

In all my excitement over my new body I forgot about this until now.

My plastic surgeon had to slightly move my port during my tummy tuck and re-suture it. The good news is, the port seemed to be in good working order...he's done a lot of these and I think he would have noticed if something seemed odd. The bad news, if you can call it that, is that he said it was tilted slightly on its side. He corrected it when he moved it and sutured it back in place flat like it was supposed to me.

I have never had my lap band surgeon experience trouble locating or accessing my port so if it was sideways enough to make a difference it happened in the past 2 months since I last had an adjustment. If not, I guess it wasn't off enough to matter. But I'm just curious if anyone else a) had their port moved during plastic surgery (and if so, did that ever cause you an issue later?) or b) ever experienced a flipped port and had to have it corrected. If you did, how did you know it was flipped? And if you got it corrected, any trouble with it moving again?

My personal theory is that my body has changed a lot on the inside since banding and what used to be a flat surface that the port was attached to was now angled in a bit of a different direction. As much as I hate being cut open, I'm happy my plastic surgeon noticed and adjusted the port, possibly saving me a port repair surgery in the future.

Well, not that that tummy is so FLAT, access shouldn't be an issue.

Now, get off my horse!!!

It ain't that flat. But at least now I'll be able to see what happens to muscles when I workout.

You gotta come claim him if you want him.

Sorry to hear that... I went for my first fill in August and they had a hard time doing it the Dr said it was tipped but tipped outside not inside if that makes since.
I go for a 2nd fill next week and I am very nervous... last time I got off the table shaking I was so scared.
So tipped out the Dr said it should be OK with a few more pounds off, so lets see!

Nothing to be sorry about for me :) I am ecstatic and if it was a little turned, it's fixed now. I hope that yours straightens up! Don't be scared, I know it's a big needle but your doctor should be able to find your port and access it fine and yes, it will probably move once you lose more.  Good luck!
