thanks so much...yeah, i have kinda decided i do need to wait until thanksgiving or so .  my surgeon told me the same things. 

what type of riding do you do?

I ride English. Pleasure, trails, dressage, everything but jumping (just never liked it.) I don't compete. What about you?

Highest Wt: 274 / LAP-Band Low: 180 / Sleeved at 233 / Goal: 160!

i ride mostly western these days--we show on the palomino circuit.  i rode dressage for 20 years....i'm having so much with western--a little bit of reining, lots of trail, etc.  My daughter rides both western adn english....including a little bit of jumping (like you, i'm not a jumper...)

I am not sure why everyone is so worried about weighing.  I was banded on 10/18 and I have not yet stepped on a scale.  I have my first follow-up on Friday 11/11 and it will be my first weigh in!  I am super excited.

A very dear friend that was banded 3 years ago warned me about becoming to scale-consious...she ONLY weighs in on her doctors scale...

I think I like that idea!
