That looks pretty danged good even with swelling and bruising. Speaking as a bra fit specialist (and owner of my very own side boobs) I think you'll be glad you got rid of the side boobs!

Thanks Jean :)

I've never had a well fitting bra cause of those lovely side boobs, so I can't wait to go bra shopping.  My whole plastics process was interesting cause I knew tummy was my number 1 priority and I was hoping there would be something else I could add in at the same time to really maximize the results. I thought an arm lift would be it but that turned out to be way more $ than I could afford so I let that go. Then at my consult (1 day before op because I was coming in from out of town for this) he suggested excising the side boob skin. So glad he did! It didn't add too much time to my surgery, there is really no added discomfort from it, and I think it's going to make a huge difference in the way clothes fit.

In addition to that, my grandmother thinks I got a breast lift! I think the side boob removal tightened the whole chest area so I'm not complaining. Yeah, it's kind of weird, my grandmother thinks my boobs look really good and is talking about a breast lift for herself now.

The plastic surgeon is my cousin so I'm a little worried he's going to be flooded with family members flocking to him now.

Maybe I need to fly to Alabama and have your cousin do my surgery.  I have had 1 consult for a TT, Flank lift and breast lift.  It was $18,000!  PLUS, it would be done as an outpatient surgery.  THAT freaked me out!  I spent the night in the hospital when I had my band surgery.  I can't imagine being sent home cut below, behind and above!  While I'd like to get it over with in one fell swoop, I may have to do the BL seperately from the rest.  Now I just have to decide which is the priority.
Thank you for the update!  I can't wait to watch the progress as you heal.

You know it's funny, I am endorsing him for a new brand of Medical Tourism, Alabama style!

I am certain you could get all that done for much less than 18K here.  It was going to be 13K for the TT + Arm lift and that seemed expensive to me but they explained the arm lift took as much time in the OR as the tummy tuck.  They also will discount each procedure a bit if you have anything insurance billable you can do at the same time. I didn't know it till the day before but I had an umbilical hernia. They took 25% off my plastics bill because of that! I can't promise this kind of thing for everyone but that's what happened for me.

As for the overnight hospital stay, I cannot imagine any of that as outpatient. I'm sure people do it but I loved staying overnight (I did not stay overnight for my band, couldn't wait to get out of there!) and the pain control in the hospital was incredible so there is no way I would go home the same day.  The big advantage of me doing it in AL other than price was that my family is here and I can stay and be taken care of. My stepmom doesn't work so I have someone around 24/7.  If you don't have friends or family here that would be tough. It's not that I couldn't have done it on my own but it would have been a lot harder. You'd want to stay in a hotel very close to the hospital but you'd have to stay for 3 weeks at least. He's now telling me I may get all my drains out after 2 weeks but he wants to see me again 2 weeks later so I'd have to fly back.  I don't know if after a hotel and all that it would work out better for anyone.

But here is his website in case you're just curious.
