Sad :-(

 It's tough, some insurance companies will do it but some require an actual medical reason for removal and revision (like a slip, erosion, constant pain or reflux.) Can't hurt to call and see what your surgeon has to say.

I rarely post, but am just over 5 years out. I have not reached my goal but have lost well over 100 lbs since surgery. I would like to lose about 20 more lbs. But I have not had any problems at all with my band, other than a few times that I ate too much or too fast. I will say though that it was about 2 years before I was at perfect restriction. I have not needed another fill in over 2 years. Even though I would like to lose 20 more , I have not lost anything in a good while. I do not eat perfectly, but I do eat tiny quantities and stay full for long periods. Overall, the band has given me a much better quality of life and if I never lose another lb.it has been worth it to me! Good luck and I hope you come to peace with your choice. Could a good heart to heart talk with your surgeon help?

 
Very glad you have lost so much with your band. Just sorry it took so long to reach restriction. Also glad you have made it over 5 years w/o complications! Congrats!!!

Hi Maria, I would LOVE to be able to attend the clothes swap but I work on Saturdays. Looks like you have lost a great deal too though, so maybe you can get  a lot of  things for the smaller you. Please let me know if you ever have one except on Saturdays. Glenda

 
You know the WLS clothing exchange just has mostly larger clothes, so LaShelle opened it up to everyone so there will be smaller size clothes as well. So if you have any friends that are interested, have them come by and swap clothes. Btw, we will be having a Christmas party in Dec.

GREAT NEWS BANDSTERS!!! I HAVE RESTRICTION BUT NOT WITH THROWING UP! I got my fill last Friday and  I got the restriction yesterday. Please keep your fingers crossed though bc I had the same restriction last March and ended up so tight that I couldnt swallow my saliva but for now....things are looking good. I'm going to stay positive...
