Revision?
Well, my first choice would be to give the band another chance, but I do know that it's very hard to sustain a weight loss effort (no matter how you do it, with or without surgery) for a long time. I guess you need to take a look at the specifics of how you've been struggling and decide if there's anything in there you can change without having more surgery.
Your insurance may not cover revision if it's done because your weight loss has stalled, but it might cover revision if it's done to resolve medical complications with your band.

Since there's limited information as to why your struggling it's hard to give any kind of answer to your question.
In my case I self paid for the band and my sleeve revision since our insurance doesn't cover WLS. My band was great the first 2 years but had problems after that which was NOT my fault.
My revision surgery was much easier than my band surgery.
In 8 months I've lost 90lbs with my sleeve.
If you are eating whatever you want it doesn't matter what surgery you have.
If you aren't having band releated medical issues and your restriction level isn't where it should be you aren't giving it a fair shot. Just my opinion though.
Good luck

I wouldn't say you're being lazy and giving up, I would say you're being realistic and making an intelligent decision. The band does NOT work for many ppl. Most Drs. are now removing more bands than they put in and many Drs. have now stopped putting bands in. Gotta be a reason for that, right?
Good luck!
