Wondering how others banded in Nov. are doing.  Whether it's been a year or two or three... would love to hear where your at.  For me, I am STILL working on striking a balance.  I eat great some days, terrible others.  I lost the 100 pounds I needed, have gained back about 10.  The last week has been good, I am hoping to stay on this roll until Thanksgiving.  How about you???

I'll be 3 years post op on the 10th.  I lost 115 lbs in the first year and have maintained withing 10 lbs for the past 2 years.  I still have 30 lbs that I would like to lose, but honestly, if I don't lose another pound but maintain, I'll be happy.

I have acheived most everything I set out to acheive.  Just to name a few NSV's:

I wear a regular size 16/xl (used to be a 24/XXXL)
My foot and knee pain are gone
I can walk up stairs and hold a conversation all the way
I have zip lined, ridden a roller coaster, snorkled, jet skiied, etc. etc.  (All things I couldn't or wouldn't do before).

Life is great with better health and improved self-esteem and confidence!

Best~

My bandiversary is next Wednesday (9th).  Hard to believe a year has passed.  I have lost 80 pounds.  Was hoping for 100, but not complaining.....I look and feel so much better...have much more energy to enjoy my grandsons!!  And my husband is definetly liking the change!  The band is not a magic cure...takes work to get the best results......

Im doing okay my anniversary is the 22nd of this month and will be a year out. I have my good weeks where I eat totally healthy then I will backside for a week or so .

Im pleased with my progess though I have lost 75 pounds , been smoke free for a year now , lost over 30 inches, down a size in clothes and shoes .

It is a slower weight loss but that is okay with me, I still enjoy all foods from before I got the band, there is nothing I cant eat and dont eat . Even when I was struggling for several months and not eating healthy the band did keep me in check and kept me from gaining any weight that is what I really wanted from the band was to help me from gaining my weight back and it has done that.

I hope to lose another 40 pounds by next summer before we go to Busch Gardens for my sons last family vacation before he leaves for the Air Force the following summer .

Adjustable Gastric Band on 11/10/11
I am getting the lap band on the 10th.  I have lost 15 lbs pre-op, and I am hoping for 70 or 80 more to come off.  I love to hear encouraging stories, and even about the struggles that I might expect.  Michelle.
