Weird feeling where my band is

Hi all! I have a question....so I got a band in june of 09. Just recently (within say the last couple months) I've been getting some weird sensations. Where the band is, I can physically feel something moving. It's like it pops up and then goes back into position or something. I don't really know how to explain it. It never lasts for more than a minute, but I'm starting to get concerned. Could it have slipped? Has anyone else experienced something like this?

I have that feeling from time to time, but mine isn't related to my band. It's related to my hiatal hernia. When my intestines escape through the hernia hole, I can feel that popping up sensation. Then after a minute or so, they slip back down into place. The popping up sensation often is the result of my bending forward; other times it  comes out of nowhere.

Hiatal hernias are associated with band slippage, which is why most surgeons repair hiatal hernias during band placement. My original surgeon was supposed to do that but either forgot or chose not to do it. About 18 months after my band surgery, I had a band slip that may have been aggravated by my hernia, so if I were you, I'd talk to your surgeon about it and get an upper GI x-ray done to make sure everything's OK in there.
