I had my 1st fill for days afterwards I felt satisfied with what I was eating.  The past 2 days I am sooo hungry I feel like I could eat the house down.  I am making good choices and not overeating but I feel so hungry and I am basically pissed off at the world because I am hungry.  I am so aggrevated and it is taking everything that I have not to order in some unhealthy food.  HELP

Drink a very large glass of water, brush your teeth and go for a walk.  When you return if you are still hungry, drink another glass of water and eat a peice of lunch meat rolled with a piece of cheese.  Dont make yourself obsessed.  Eat something if you have to.

Jessica, I say Amen to that...I'm going through the same thing. The entire month since my last fill. Now I'm up a fewlbs and very unhappy with it. Next week I see surgeon and will get a fill hopefully. I'm just scared that I will be too tight and then have problems. I'm trying to consume more liquids that was suggested to you and eat more protein and veggie and less carbs. Carbs and me are not friends. They sneak up on my and then poof I gain weight. So don't eat the house down on unhealthy food cause you will gain like me and then have to take that excess off again just like a yoo..yoo. Be diligent and eat right and try to drink some tea...good luck..let me know how you do?

sorry that you are having the same issues.  I am doing better today I had a bowl of oatmeal for breakfast (more than I should have had) with some fresh strawberries and blueberries.  I was hungry about 2 hours later so I had a glass of milk and a bananna then for lunch I had some chicken noodle soup and half of a grilled cheese sandwich.
I dont like tea so I stick to water and milk and if I start wanting juice I make from fresh fruits and veggies.

You really need more solid protein in your diet to keep you satisfied longer.  The soup is like a liquid as well as the noodles are carbs.  The bread and the oatmeal are carbs and all they are doing is making you hunry sooner.  Try a sausage patty in the mornings with a slice of cheese, lunch meat and cheese for lunch or even more solid, a chicken thigh.  I know it is redundant but the protein really will keep you full longer.  Are you drinking low fat milk?  I know its not as good, but there are a lot of calories in whole milk.

I would be hungry too if I was eating this.

While it may seem like 'good choices' === it sounds really high in carbs and low in protein to me.
It also sounds like too much soft food to really satisfy you.

The band works best when we eat a small - moderate amount of LEAN, SOLID protein and it has a chance to 'sit' in the pouch for a while and put pressure on the top of our stomach.
That is what signals our brain that we have eaten.

Oatmeal, milk, juice, soup -- all are not solid enough.
Cheese sandwich is mostly carb and fat --- not enough protein to make it worth it or to satisfy us.

How about some tuna or chicken or egg salad with whole grain crackers, or 3-4 ounces of meat/fish -- something that will sit there and make you feel satisfied.

Then, an hour later --- water, water, water.

I drink fat free milk.  I was eating more protein and less carbs but I was staying super hungry today I did not have as much as I did fine I had a piece of baked chicken some mashed sweet potatoes and some brussel sprouts for dinner.  I have been satisfied all day and not hungry and wanting to eat the house down like I had been.

Jess

Remember, too, that hormones have alot to do with hunger.

Even 'normal weight' people have days when they are more hungry than other days.

Having a good strategy for those days (an extra snack made of mostly protein, or some exercise, or extra fluid -- or just knowing that it will happen and you have to suck it up) is helpful to me.

I always had a list of '25 things to do besides eat' --- and if it was not meal time or snack time, I had to distract myself with something from that list instead of giving in to hunger or boredom
