8th day of vomiting

 So . . . what's going on? Any better?

Hey... if y ou have been vomitting for 8 (now 9) days and not keeping anything down, they should do something before Friday...   :(

And have you had the black acid spews?  (It kinda looks like coffee grounds.)

What you are describing is NOT normal with the band, are you sure this is band related and not a stomach virus? Typically people do not just "vomit"  for days with the band unless it has slipped.
 
Your PCP can't do NOTHING for you regarding your band, you need to be seen immediately by a band surgeon to rule out slippage with an Upper GI.

Have you had an esophagram to check your band??  If your period was lighter than normal, you could be pregnant.  I had a pregnancy where I had 2 pretty normal periods before it was determined that I had a bilateral ectopic pregnancy.  Have your PCP check everything.  Your symptoms could be anything at this point.  Best of luck to you!

My fluoroscopy showed that my band placement was fine.  Surgeon still wanted to remove 1 cc from the band just in case I have swelling from the vomiting making the band a little tighter than normal.  My port has been facing downward but he was not able to access the port on Friday.  Went back today to have him access it under xray to remove the cc and he was still unable.  It is completely flipped.  So I am having the procedure to correct it on Thursday. 

Regarding the vomiting, I am keeping soups and liquids down now and some bland foods.  Saw the pcp Friday afternoon and she has ordered blood work to rule out pancreatitis and I'm having a HIDA scan on Wednesday to check the functioning of my gall bladder.  I still have the abdominal/back pain but it comes on mostly after eating and hasn't been as intense as it was several days ago.  And lucky me, got my period again.  Although this is when I should have it based on my pill pack.
