Perhaps but not any time soon. I still have trouble with apples (unless it's apple sauce) Ground beef is a hit or miss with me. I could eat it one day but not the next. It's trial and error with everyone on any given day.

That's a delicious sounding recipe, but if I were you, I'd ask my nutritionist and/or surgeon before making and eating it this early on. In theory, thoroughly-cooked acorn squash, peeled and chopped apples, and very moist ground beef would fit the definition of soft foods (can be cut with the side of a fork), but at times I've had a lot of trouble eating ground meat - I can eat steak, but sometimes ground beef just does not work.

If you absolutely must try that dish, I suggest that you puree the stuffing (ground beef, apples, onions, cheese, etc.) before putting it on the squa**** might look disgusting, but would probably taste good!

Hijack Jean!
So funny about being able to eat steak and not ground meat!  I am totally the opposite.  I can eat ground meat of all kinds - but I have to eat extremely tender steak - or it gets stuck on the first bite, regardless of how much I chew it and how little the bite was.

The band is so silly because it's different with each and every one of us.  I am still able to eat whole grain pasta - brown rice and any type of soft bread.  I can make myself a quarter of a sandwich with pb and jelly and eat it without the least bit of problem, but give me a cooked carrot and I am in "slimeville!"

I would substitute ground chicken (I'm not a ground turkey fan- the texture is to rubbery) for the ground beef & see how that goes- or even crumbled to****old in a little bag) if you wanted to keep it vegetarian.  It does look yummy :)
